Northeast Insurance Broker Services, LLC (NIBS) is a broker general agency serving financial and insurance professionals throughout northern New England. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our brokers, clients and the community.

In June of 1997, Robert Merritt opened Northeast Insurance Broker Services. Originally the focus was as a regional sales office for Provident Life and Accident, Paul Revere Life, and Unum Insurance companies.

NIBS expanded in 2001 with the purchase of another local brokerage business. This purchase allowed NIBS to offer more options in the Life, Disability, Long Term Care and Small Group Benefit markets. We now have general agency contracts with over 20 carriers.

In the fall of 2016 after 19 year of service Bob retired and Tawny Bloom, whom had spent 5 years learning from Bob, took over the business.

After more than 20 years in business, NIBS is continuing to supply great service to our brokers and clients, and offer the best products for ones needs.
